Annotacion:
The proposed project is defining the threshold of food security and offers the possibility of crisis situations and threats in the agrarian-food sector. Based on the original mathematical models of the required amount of food needed to provide minimum nutritional requirements. It will set a minimum dimension of agriculture (area, animal numbers), and food capacity, which allows to feed people in crisis situations.
Timetable in 2011:
The main objective of the project in a given year is needed to quantify the amount of food needed to provide minimum coverage necessary nutritional requirements for feeding the Czech population in any kind of threat. Recommended dietary allowances (RDA) are calculated for the average inhabitant on the basis of the minimum (RDA) established for each population and age groups and age structure. RDA for the average people will be optimized using an optimization model of NUTRITION-1. The result of the amount of food will be required for maintaining minimum nutritional requirements. Optimization model of NUTRITION-1 requires the collection and preparation of the following data: range and volume of food (consumption levels), their composition (nutritional value), average consumer prices of food. Based on these calculations will outline the "crisis scenarios" to deal with to ensure a minimum supply of food. The results of the calculations will be evaluated at the end of the interim annual report.
