Annotation:
The proposed project is defining the threshold of food security and offers the possibility of crisis situations and threats in the agrarian-food sector. Based on the original mathematical models of the required amount of food needed to provide minimum nutritional requirements. It will set a minimum dimension of agriculture (area, animal numbers), and food capacity, which allows to feed people in crisis situations.
Timetable in 2012:
In the next period of the project the mathematical model (ZEPOS-1) will be created. This model will transform a necessary volume of food needed for the provision of minimum requirements for human nutrition to the need of raw materials (agricultural commodities) and the adequate capacities of the food industry. The minimum size of agriculture (crop lands, head numbers of animals) and the adequate capacities of the food industry will be determined which will enable to eliminate the negative impacts of crisis situations.
