Risk management issues in the Czech agricultural holdings
The research study evaluates the risk management in the Czech agriculture with emphasis on the role of the public sector. Recommendations for setting of the system of support risk management in the Czech Republic after 2013 are given. The level of yield and price risk in agriculture are quantified at the farm and aggregate level for the main crops grown in the Czech Republic on a set of medium, large and very large farms. The efficiency of crop insurance is evaluated as higher for small farms with specialized field production than in very large enterprises. The conclusion notes that the supply of insurance products for the management of insurable risks is sufficient in the Czech Republic. The strength of the system is also efficient and effective system for risk prevention and for addressing the damage consequences caused by diseased in livestock and crop production However, it still lacks an effective tool to deal with catastrophic systematic risks.

Modelling of impacts of Czech agricultural policy after 2013
This study presents results of research of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information in the sphere of mathematical modeling of the CAP EU after the year 2013 on the Czech agriculture. Development of modeling of economic and ecological aspects of the farm behavior with help of the model FARMA-4 is connected with progress of modeling tools for predictions of production economic indicators (model RENT-4) and with the deriving and usage of production function for impact simulation of extensive and intensive farming on environment (model AENVI-2). The study contains real and mathematical description of the mentioned models, model scenarios of the future agricultural policy and their information background (database BASELINE) and further characteristics of type farms (100 ha) in the different Czech production regions where impacts are simulated. In the study there is shown connecting of the mentioned models and illustration of their usage for the central and farm level.

Farming in Areas with Natural Constraints after the Czech Republic Accession into the EU
The research study compares the recent development of farming support payments in less-favoured areas (LFA) of the EU and the Czech Republic which has led into the long-time criticized disparity in the use of different delimitation criteria for LFAs as well as the support payments´ calculation and not unified baseline for their distribution. On the regional level of the EU, regional clusters on the level NUTS2 are compared, identified on the principle of similar characteristics of less-favoured conditions. The development in the use of agricultural land in the Czech Republic after 2000 is evaluated for particular categories of LFAs, with an emphasis on the period after the Czech accession into the EU. Accompanied to this, changes in crop rotation, number of farm animals and farm facilities are examined. The development of economic indicators in the period 2001-2010 for different groups of farms operating under different categories of LFAs, with different production specialization and different size is analysed. The methodological approaches for the categorisation of LFAs in the Czech Republic after 2014 are proposed by authors. As a part of the study conclusion, some recommendations for the improvement of LFA support mechanism in the Czech Republic are made by authors.

Czech Agrarian Foreign Trade Yearbook 2011
The study analyzes Czech agricultural trade with EU-27 and non-EU countries in 2011 and draws comparisons to the preceding five years. Both territorial and structural aspects are evaluated. Another section distinguishes further between trade in processed and unprocessed products. Two types of RCA indicators are employed to assess the competitiveness of Czech agricultural exports. Foreign trade data are drawn from the Czech Statistical Office and from Eurostat.

Czech Agrarian Foreign Trade Yearbook 2010
The study presents an analysis of Czech extra-EU and intra-EU trade development in 2010 as compared with the average of five preceding years. Changes in the territorial and commodity structure of Czech agrarian trade are investigated, too, as well as the separate developments of the agrarian trade in unprocessed and in processed products. The analysis of competitiveness of the Czech agrarian exports is based on two types of RCA indexes. The primary sources of data are Czech Statistical Office and Eurostat.
