Annotation:
The proposed project is defining the threshold of food security and offers the possibility of crisis situations and threats in the agrarian-food sector. Based on the original mathematical models of the required amount of food needed to provide minimum nutritional requirements. It will set a minimum dimension of agriculture (area, animal numbers), and food capacity, which allows to feed people in crisis situations.
Timetable in 2013:
The final report summarizing the methodology and results of the project for the years 2010-2012 will be elaborated. The certified methodology as the main result of the project will also be presented. The aim of the methodology is to determine the minimum amount of nutrition that is not threatening human health. This amount of nutrition is subsequently transformed into food and agricultural production on the basis of newly created optimization models.
