Timetable in 2014:

We will continue in pig production costs analysis. The cost of pig production in 2013 in the Czech Republic will be analyzed. The most important results and production indicators will be compared within the main EU producers.

IAEI team will analyse company data from 49 farms which are either specialized in pig production or operate pig production within mixed production farm in the period 2007-2012. The link between company data and commodity data allow us more complex insight into pig sector in the Czech Republic. There will be performed financial analysis based on company data. The hypothesis “higher significance of pig production within the farm production worsens the profitability of the farm” will be analysed. The influence of most important costs items (feed, work) on farm economics will be investigated. Revenues sensitivity analysis will be performed.
